The Lodge at Maidlands is a stunning converted barn located in the rolling countryside of rural East Sussex. The Lodge boasting uninterrupted views of the Tillingham Valley from the 4 acre grounds of Maidlands Oast. Wake up to the sounds of bird song, miles of sprawling footpaths to explore and an abundance of local eateries and quintessential pubs.

Located in the rolling landscapes of the Rother countryside surrounding the historical town of Rye. Enjoy tranquil evenings overlooking the unspoilt view down the valley, glowing in the lowering sun.

Cultural Sites
Rye, East Sussex is steeped in history, featuring the original Landgate from the town wall built on the orders of Edward III and retains its original cobbled streets and 12th century buildings.
Foodie Heaven
Rye and the surrounding area hosts a variety of exquisite eateries from award winning sharer plates at The Fig to the catch of the day at Webbes at the Fish Cafe to the traditional roasts in the ancient restaurant of The Mermaid Inn and The Plough.
Water sports Activities
Camber Sands is a magnet for keen wind surfers and other water sports fanatics with a thriving water sports centre and beautiful stretches of sandy beach to enjoy for all.
Markets
The Rye Farmers market is held every Wednesday at Strand Quay focusing on local foods, drinks and crafts. There is a second weekly market on Thursdays featuring a variety of stalls, crafts and curiosities.
Hiking
There are an abundance of footpaths traversing the gorgeous countryside and coast line of East Sussex. Rye is part of the 1066 coastal path running the length of the coast to Fairlight and on to Hastings.
